This village house is in the historic heart of Thailand, in the Nakhon Nayok province, just about 2 hours by car from Bangkok center. Nakhon Nayok is often translated as "City of the leader", however here it has to be translated as "City of Tax-Free". Now if only the government would have kept this tradition alive...
This picturesque and rustic village house is surrounded by typical Thai countryside. Not far are the Wang Takhrai botanical garden, the Wang Takhrai waterfall, and the Khao Yai National park with the the 1292 meter high Yod Khao Kiew. The Khao Yai National park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
